CDC’s “Learn the Signs. Act Early.” campaign offers research-based, parent-friendly tools to make it easy and fun to track milestones from age 2 months through 5 years.

WIC staff will find many free resources, available in multiple languages, to help promote awareness of healthy developmental milestones during early childhood, such as:

• The Milestones Tracker app
• Milestone Moments Booklet for parents
• Children’s books
• Tools to help promote development modeling, such as videos, posters and growth charts

On the page dedicated to Developmental Milestones Resources for WIC Programs, you can find information about how WIC clinics in Missouri developed a model to successfully integrate the program.  In addition, staff will find resources, available in Spanish, to help promoting parent awareness, and if needed, make a referral to the child’s healthcare provider and/or early intervention program.
